Moki hadn't seen her sister in forever...She had lost track after two months...She sighed, sending a white fog coming from her mouth. She was standing outside on the balcany of the second floor. The snow was just begining to fall from the black, cloudy night sky. She sighed and stood as little white snowflakes stuck to her dark brown hair.
She walked inside to see her father standing there, concern in his eyes. "Daifu...Is Kei going to come?" Moki asked him quietly. "I don't know otome...Hopefully..." Her father embraced her in his arms tightly.
A little while later, they both walked into the giant hall where the party was being held. The room was decorated with holly, wreaths with red bows, mistletoe, and white tables filled with food. Moki sighed again and plastered a fake smile on as guests greeted her with compliments on how she looked and to just say hi. She was wearing a dark red kimono with black and gold dragons on them. Her hair was pulled back from her face with bobbypins with sakuna flowers on them. Moki wanted to look nice for her father and her guests...But of course, Moki's firey temper and depression had scared any guys she would have liked to impress...

Sei had heard of the Yoshikawa party and thought it would be a pleasant gathering. Searching for any good clothes, he dressed in his fine black kimono. I never did buy anything formal to wear. He thought as he left his house.
When Sei had arrived at the Yoshikawa house, he yawned. Such a beautiful day for a party. Sei wiped the snow off of his kimono and stepped inside the grand house. Not the sociable type, he slowly walked into the party hall and blended into the crowd.

Moki had finally gotten away from the mob of greeting guests...She went over to the bar and ordered a sake. Even though she was only 16, she was friends with the bartender. She sipped it slowly and was refreshed by the warmth trickling down her throat. She began to wander around the hall, glancing at a few couples kissing under the mistletoe. Sadness clouded her eyes as she didn't see Kei anywhere...
Why would she come? Dad would probably force her to stay because she was tortureing me...*sigh* Oh well...I might as well go to sleep or something...
Moki finished off the sake, dropping off the cup before she headed back up to her room, passing a very pale kid with long blonde hair.

Sei caught a glimpse of a beautiful young lady as he was wandering. He recognized her as Yoshikawa Moki. I wonder why she's not out enjoying the party? He was quite curious. He turned to her and asked, "Hello. Why aren't you having fun? It's a party."

Moki stopped and turned to look at the boy. She glared at him "Party?...You call this a party?...It would be a party if my sister was back, but nooo, she's not here!" Tears formed at the corners of her glaring eyes. She turned, covering her face with her hands and began to walk off again.

Kei hadn't planned on attending. She had made sure to schedule work on the eve of the party, and to leave her school project to last minute to make sure she would be busy. But she had been forced to complete the project due to complications with the rest of her groups schedules, and her boss (upon realizing that Kei hadn't taken a day off in nearly three weeks), had forced the weekend upon her.
Then father had called. To Kei's dismay, her mother had picked up the phone, and had learned of the party she had tried so desperately to hide from her. And once her mother had caught wind of the idea, she had dug her claws into it, determined to have Kei go.
"Kei, you don't have to work so hard. We won't go hungry if you take a few days off of work, you won't fail school if you go out with friends every now and then. Now you're going to go to this party, and you're going to enjoy it!"
And that was that. Kei had protested, made up excuses, but her mother had taken her out to buy a new furisode (Kei flushed at the idea of being paraded about in it, in attire that clearly said, 'fertile! up for grabs!') and had latched onto the idea with such tenacity that Kei began to suspect her mother was living through her.
It didn't matter. Because mother was driving away, and her daughter was gazing out at the estate, breaths coming out in pale puffs. Her hair had been pulled up into twin buns, spikes of hair coming out around them, until they resembled suns (what with the orange, gold, and red streaks she had had done recently). Her long bangs framed her face, hanging low on her brow, with the same bold, distinctive colours dying her dark hair. A long strand on the right side of her head had been tightly coiled with a variety of threads, bright colours, with beads and feathers worked into the wrapping.
The kimono, she supposed, was a thing of beauty. Iridescent silver and gold thread had been embroidered onto rich, mauve fabric, building tiger lilies and dragons. An ornate obi with a butterfly knot hugged her midsection, and she had even busted out the geta sandals. Never mind the fact that she could barely walk in the damn things. That didn't matter. Because as soon as mother was out of sight, she plopped down on a stone carving next to the gate, back to the house.
She would wait here until her mother picked her up, she decided. Tipping her paper umbrella back, she gazed up at the snow. A flake landed on her nose, and Kei went cross eyed to look at it. A tiny smile tugged at her lips. She couldn't help but love snow (even if she did hate the cold with a murderous rage).
Sigh. Two more hours until she could go home.

Moki hurried up to her room, slamming the door shut, and sat out on the snowy balcany. She looked up at the sky and the snow cooled her temper. The place was so peaceful that she almost forgot about being upset...But if Kei were here, Moki could have heard her blasting music or fighting with one of her sisters. Tears formed in her eyes as she thought of the happy memories that would never happen again...
Moki had only spotted a few people she knew from school...She didn't want to talk to any of them...She thought of Akira...Had she grown fond of him? If she did it was silly...He was like, the most popular guy in school who all the girls liked...What would people think of him if people knew Moki had a crush on him? What would happen to Moki? She sighed, she just wasn't cut out for this romance crap...

"You know, parties tend to be more fun if you go inside..."
In the time since the fight at the arcade, Akira hadn't had another chance to talk to the two girls from that day. However, he had heard some rumors. Apparently, the younger sister's arm had been broken in the confrontation, and she'd since run away from home, for whatever reason. It was none of his concern, of course, but still... He couldn't shake the feeling that it was his fault. That, if he'd stood up to that thug in her place...
But, as it were, a sudden phone call had dragged him away from the scene. A... family emergency, if you will. There was nothing he could have done about it. He knew that. But still...
So, when Akira found out about the party at the Yoshikawa's place, he thought he might attend, at the very least to find out what had become of the girls. And now he found himself outside the front gate, standing in front of that same girl, Kei, if he remembered correctly, who sat out in the snow with a sad look on her face.
"That's a pretty dress you know. It would be a shame to waste it sitting in the cold. Let's go inside," he said, a small smile coming across his face. At the same time though, he was thinking to himself, Maybe I should have dressed a little nicer... I don't think jeans were the best choice...

You know, parties tend to be more fun if you go inside...
Kei's eyes snapped open at the voice. Whipping her head up from her light doze, her cheeks coloured. Ah, yes, this was the entrance. She shouldn't have drifted off like that, without expecting some sort of interruption. Blinking once, twice, she let the words register in her brain, before averting her eyes.
Gaze lingering on the slush in the gutters, she huffed in quiet, hollow laughter. Pulling her bangs away from her face, she kicked at the snow, geta threatening to slip off her feet. Not that she particularly cared, seeing as how they made it near impossible to walk.
"You raise a valid point." She commented, finally looking up. Her gaze was still distant, still frightfully un-Kei, but a trace of a smile hooked the corner of her lips.
She tilted her head as he spoke, subconsciously smoothing the fabric on her lap, and biting her lip.
She didn't want to go inside...but she didn't want to be rude either. Confidence Kei, con-fi-dence! You do hate the cold, and you need to grow the smeg up. Go on! You're going to have to confront your sisters sooner or later...right?
"Saa...I guess I can't avoid it anymore." She commented, mostly to herself. Kicking off her sandals, she slipped to her feet, hooking her fingers about the straps of the geta and slinging them over her shoulders. She offered Akira a grateful, if doubting, smile. Then blinked, and took his appearance in. She chuckled, but there was pure envy in her gaze.
"You lucky bastard. What I wouldn't do to be free of this monstrosity." She flicked her gaze up at him and offered a sly, conniving smile and a wink of jest. "I'll trade you."

Ai didn't want to be here. God no, she didn't want to be here. She was bored, tired, and annoyed. But she was afraid her father would kill her if she dared sleep though this. Chaaaaa. She needed... sugar.Dressed in just a black yukata she leaned against the wall, just staring blankly. Lida, however, took this chance to snap pictures of the guests. And in defense for Moki, she turned the flash on and tried to blind Sei. Oh horrid evilness for Lida. Hurr hurr. She wore a plain black skirt and white blouse, for her prettiness look. After her evilness was through she flashed in Ai's face. "Wakey wakey Loser! C'mooon, move more before everyone thinks you're dead!" "Let them think I'm dead, maybe Daddy will let me go to bed when he finds out I scare the guests." Ai muttered, but she brightened up when Lida pulled out that magic medicine that seemed to make Ai move. "Heh. I gooot choooocoolaaate~" Lida teased, grinning, the evil gleam flashing in her dark eyes. Oh yeah, recent evens REALLY affected these two. Aside from Lida's becoming more reserved and Ai more lazy. Clad in dark green(shirt and pants), Yuko shared her younger sibling's pain. Not seeing Kei around really bugged the second oldest. See Moki sulk also murdered Yuko's insides. No tricks for awhile, hm.. "Eh,eh, Mookii." Yuko whined, hanging about Moki's door. Comfort comfort. That's all Yuko wanted to do. "C'moooon Moookii come doown and terrorize people wiith meee! You favorite Nork needs heeeelp." Yuko never intruded on privacy. Well.. Ai was an exception but aside from that! She was tempted to break Moki's door down and wrap the big crybaby(in her opinion of course) in a tight hug. That's what older siblings did. They loved, controlled, bugged, cause dislike, and annoy. Maybe even sometime comforted. Yuko wanted to be the comforting sister right now. It was annoying. And at this point, Ai had stolen the candy from Lida's pockets and ran. Run little Ai! Lida's gonna catch you! Ai ran outside, probably startling some of the many guests with how she ran so easily in formalishness. The snow caused Lida to slide a bit, Ai ran by Kei and Akira, again with ease and Lida ran after, still slipping and sliding and clinging protective to her camera. "Give me back my candy you cow!" "You shouldn't have teased me!" Ai ran around the house, laughing loudly. When she finally got around again, she skidded to a stop, blinking at the sight. "Kei-onee!" She exclaimed happily. Lida damn near crash landed into Ai and in the process of avoiding the sudden stopped Ai fall face first into the snow. Comical, eh?

**.......-.-;**
Taku had gotten wind of a party being thrown by a rather largely known family. His family had also once been largely known, but that was long past and he really didnt care anymore. As time went on, things changed and he knew this, but he just really couldnt stand the fact that there were people out there living lives like that who though they deserved more than what they already had. With a soft sigh he reached up, unraveling the white bandage to reveal his now matted spiky hair. It only took a few shakes to restore it to it's former glory again, which caused him to give a slight smirk but that was all. Slowly but surely Takamatsu had begun to retain his memory, all the faces of people of his earlier memories returning, but those of recent still rather hazy as though sillhouettes of them could be seen, but their details still a common mystery. He remembered Kei of course due to their encounter of in the coffee shop, but nothing else of her did he know. After a few thoughts, he decided he would go and see what all the commotion was about, whether or not it was worth staying, quickly padding down his hair so it looked like it was almost in a wingish way but going backwards. Once re-cladding himself in a darkblue kimono of his that had been passed down through his family for years upon years, though it still looked seemingly new, he made his way to the party, stopping outside the front gate and glancing at Kei, his brow quirking upwards ever so slightly. "I see it is you missy... Good tidings..." He gave a slight nod as though nothing else was necessary and moved forward towards the front door, a narrow and collected look to his eyes. Damn he hated rich people, always acting like they're soooo much better than everyone else because they can flaunt their money. Grrrrrrr. When did our people become so corrupted...

Kei had watched Lida and Ai run past in amusement, waiting patiently for her sisters to realize the inevitable. Sigh, she knew she couldn't go here without running into them (considering they lived here and all). She laughed quietly, shaking her head in exasperation. Fondness and nostalgia shone in her eyes, and she twitched her fingers as her younger sister loudly proclaimed her name. Watching Lida fall face first into the snow, Kei couldn't help but snort in laughter and move to help her up (geta long since discared, because PFT, who needs shoes?).
"Aiaiya-neechan, Lili-neesan," Kei greeted, using her pet-names for them like nothing had changed. Offering her familiar 'shit-eating' grin, she straightened and placed her hands on her hips. "How've you two been?"
Inclining her head in question, she flicked her eyes over her shoulder, hearing a sort of greeting. She quirked a brow in return, but smiled and offered a polite nod (if peppered with a bit of her old spunk and sass). "And to you, Takeda-san." She smiled and refocused her attention on her sisters, before sweatdropping. "HEY! How'd you two get out of wearing furisode?! NOT FAIR!"
Pouting, she folded her arms, hardly suiting for the role of a nobleman's daughter. But Kei had never acquired a taste for pretentious bullshît.

"Neee! Ai stole my candy!" Lida whined, not acting her age. "Chaa! Lida-onee! |You| were the bright one who dangled it infront of my face!" Ai whined back. oh come on, Ai looked adorable whining but Lida.. you should be use to seeing her with a brooding look. "Kekeke. You'll regret this tomarrow morning, Ai." Lida said, standing tall, the evil gleam in her dark eyes. She flickered her evil gaze to Kei, a smirk appearing. "Ne, Daddy can't tell me what to weeaar(of course he had triiiied and failed. Lida's stubborn). And Ai looks too adorable in her yukata, ne?" Lida brought her camera up suddenly and snapped a picture of her younger sisters. She did her usual "kekekeke~" and took off to bug the other guests with the annoying camera's flash, inside. It's kinda hard to believe this is the emo-box of the family, neh? Ai huffed, but turned to Kei. "Keeeeei-oneeee! Moki-onee is saaad! Yuko-baka is trying to cheer her up but Moki is mad beyond reason and like.. you're the only one who can brighten her day. A techy nork like Yuko... I dunno." And for some reason the youngest Yoshikawa looked down then looked up sharply, sternly. "You're not wearing shoes!" Smaaart little Ai. Oh so adorable and cuddely..adorable. Our lazy little cuddle ball, eh? [Rambles of a hyper, sleepy person.. -snick- You gotta love me for that, ne? -steals Ai-]

After the greeting of Kei, he seemed to just stop for a bit, staring at the other two who were apparently there, his gaze shifting just a bit more to realize the other guy outside next to Kei. He seemed rather familiar as well, though it wasnt even near as clear as it was with Kei. Shaking his head from the thought, he turned back towards the door and made his way inside, people seeming to instantly recognize who he was, everyone leaving a path open for him to walk. He blinked out of confusement as he looked around at the others who stared at him, seeing as how he was suddenly the show of the party. Am I famous? He though again in silence, unable to understand why he was being treated the way he was.

Kei giggled at the display of childishness from her supposedly angsty sister. And then promptly blinked as she was blinded by a flash. Ah...a camera. Lovely. AW SHIT BLACKMAIL "LILI-NEESAN GET YOUR BUTT BACK HERE NOW!" She calmed instantly as Ai began to talk, and giggled, looping an arm about her adorable sisters shoulder. "Heee, okay, let's go get gloomy-butt to be cheerful-butt again!" Slipping into the manor, dragging Ai sneakily after her, Kei took advantage of everyone's diverted attention, traveling off to Moki's room. Like a ninja. AWWW, YEAH <3
